What is it about the pull of the sea? The ocean works so powerfully as a metaphor in the mind. The horizon line touches us directly, as if it levels something deep within our psyche. This exhibition is intimately tied to the sea, inviting you to step into a psychological landscape and wander through shifting states of mind.

Like dreams, my paintings are first and foremost about the atmosphere they evoke. To interpret a dream is to strip it of its genuine magic. The feeling is the destination—it simply is.

The process has been a journey of constant exploration and discovery. My drawings have formed the basis for AI-generated images, which were then cut, assembled, and collaged before being painted with thick, tactile brushstrokes. There is a peculiar emptiness in the AI-generated imagery—an emptiness that reminds me of the sea itself.

All the works are signed Airik Pirolt, as this is a collaborative project between Erik Pirolt and AI. Each painting is clearly dated, and on the reverse side you will find a certificate of authenticity where the date is emphasized. These dates are significant, as they transform the works into time-documents—markers of the very moment they were created. In the future, they will stand as evidence of the technological and conceptual shift we are living through, where new tools and new ways of thinking are reshaping how images come into being.
